Our customer had recently purchased a South facing new build property on the outskirts of Sheffield bordering Derbyshire.
His home featured contemporary fittings and soft furnishing with use of monochrome shades throughout.
He wanted to replicate this outside but introducing colour through a Mediterranean planting scheme. His garden was a blank canvass - typical of a new build.
Our design provided access to all four corners of the garden, featuring a patio, tiered borders and space for a summer house.
We applied a modern patio design using a lighter grout to contrast against contemporary black porcelain paving.
The use of a monochrome scheme featured throughout including the raised borders, decorative white spa stones and water feature.
We started by building the raised borders and preparing the base for the paving walkway around the garden.
We then built the contemporary screening along the garage and existing fence. This allowed us to keep the project going until we hit a dry spell to lay the paving.
Once the paving was down and the preparation for the lawn area complete you can really see the space start to transform.
The finishing touches involved delivering the planting scheme, applying the cream grout to the paving and laying the lawn.
We created a patio and space behind for a summer house which was just awaiting delivery of the glass doors as we completed.
The stunning space uses a black porcelain paving walkway, leading you around the garden, taking in the colours and fragrances from the mixed use of Mediterranean plants.
